Places to go | Top 8 Pet Friendly Places To Go

Have you guys been to the Pet Friendly Restaurant | Instagrammable Spots in Hong Kong that we shared a few months ago? If not, that’s okay, we have more new places that are pet friendly which can be introduced to you now!! Remember to put it into your schedule and take your fur baby with you to have a great time~

New Territories

Yuen Long 《La Cafeteria》

La Cafeteria should be the most famous pet friendly restaurants in these months! The outdoor corner of the restaurant is decorated in a rustic style with mud yellow brick walls, arched wooden doors and cave oil lamps, with a strong Moroccan vintage feel, but also a bit like Turkey or Greece. Since it's hard to get a place, there are many fur parents who queue up early in the morning to get their dogs photographed for a 'pseudo-tourist' photo. However, in terms of food, the selection is quite limited, which are pizza, sandwiches and French fries, so there's not much to choose from. But we all know the purpose of going there, it's all about getting your camera fed rather than getting your belly full. Although the location is far, there’s one more reason to go all the way there, next door is the Red Brick Building Flea Market in Kam Tin which is another place you can spend your time with your pets~

Tsuen Wan 《ROOOT》

The Mills have another new pet friendly restaurants — The new opened ROOOT. ROOOT is very welcomed doggies to come inside the restaurant. And the decorations is very characteristic and colourful, with plants around the place, there is even a dance floor strobe overhead and all sorts of knick-knacks to keep you entertained. If you're sick of the simple, urban cafe, ROOOT is the place that you’ll love. The restaurant is buffet style and the food is mainly western style organic food, although meat is available, the vegetarian food is much more appealing. And one lucky news to let you know is that the staff say they'll be considering a doggy meal later, so stay tuned for that for your lovely dogs!!

Tsuen Wan 《Cozy Couch Studio》

Around The Mills, there is a multi-function studio that just opened for a few months which is Cozy Couch Studio. The simple and white decoration is bright and comfortable, and the large terrace and indoor space is big enough for the furries to run and jump around. During pet-friendly weekends, the studio is open to all dog parents to bring their dogs to play as long as you like for two hours, for a flat entry fee (HK$120 for humans/HK$60 for furries). The Cozy Couch Studio offers a delicate pet menu, with doggie burgers and doggie cakes being the signature items, they have been charged reasonably with delicious taste~ For parents, they offered multiple soft drinks but without food. So remember to bring some by yourself!! Moreover, the studio is also open for rental and offers a decorating service. So if you want to help your fur babies to have a lovely birthday party or a fresh pet photo shoot, Cozy Couch Studio is a nice choice for you. Please note that the studio is limited in capacity, so make a reservation before you go~

Kowloon

Sham Shui Po 《Ppalli Ppalli》

The new Italian-Korean bar and restaurant Ppalli Ppalli just opened in September. The silver, grey, gold and aqua decoration makes walking into the restaurant feel like being in a space capsule!! A rare and stylish sci-fi style in recent years which stands out among the large number of elegant wooden cafes on Tai Nan Street. Worth noticing, the chef is Marco Livoti, an Italian chef who used to work as a sous chef at the two-star Michelin restaurant in London, and he leads the team in creating a range of unique Korean fusion dishes, such as beef tartare and tri-colour seitan. With such a creative menu, the price is still friendly!! However, be aware that doggies can only sit outside and there are not many seats available, so be prepared to queue up.

Kwun Tong《Be Leaf》

Be Leaf, a western restaurant that only started its trial run in October, has quickly become a hit. The semi-outdoor design, with wicker chairs and tables with white pillows, a dreamy floral arch decorated with mangoes and dried flowers, and Southeast Asian-style bird's nest seating are must-check-in places that you need to know. Desserts are the signature items. For example, the Mango Sticky Rice Wafer mixing with hot and cold taste is their original dessert. And the variety of soufflé pancakes is also very popular, and my personal recommendation is the delicious Apple Campbell's Fire Roasted Caramel Omelet. However, it is a pity that the restaurant is located on the roadside of Kwun Tong Main Street, where there are long queues of people waiting for buses. Therefore, you should consider whether your fur baby is sensitive and doesn't like strangers walking around in front of you.

Hong Kong Island

Causeway Bay 《PAWHUB》

Hidden in the heart of the city, this party room occupies an area of about 1,000 square feet and can accommodate dozens of people. The owner has set up a variety of booths to suit the weather and the season, and will add themed decorations to keep things fresh which is nice to hang out in from time to time. The party room offers two options: a private party or individual admission. The minimum price for a private party is around HK$1,500 for 8 people for 3 hours, with no limit on the number of pets. They offered human drinks, exclusive dog snacks and free stickers for photography. For Individual admission, it starts at HK$150 for one human, including a drink and a cake, with no additional charge and unlimited for pets for two hours. The party room itself has two Shiba and a Pomeranian, which were adopted by the shop manager, and the other staff are very friendly and love dogs.

Sai Ying Pun 《Not Just Coffee》

Not Just Coffee in Yau Ma Tei is a well-known shop, and last month it opened another branch on Hong Kong Island, both of which are pet-friendly places. The new shop is even bigger, with a few seats outside in front of the door with cactus, wicker chairs and bohemian woven pillows, all laid back and chic like a small garden. Pet parents with their dogs can sip their coffee in this little urban oasis and enjoy the time flowing slowly. In addition to the wide range of coffee selection, the tea and chocolates are also excellent. And don’t worry, the food is not perfunctory either, with Western and Japanese mains and desserts, the lobster soup with avocado prawns and Inaniwa oolong is a must-try, while the cherry and prawn yuzu salad with fresh flowers is as good as it looks. If you are one of the people that loves hipster style cafes, Not Just Coffee is the best place that you can’t miss out on!!

North Point 《LITM》

With new exhibitions and festive decorations coming up regularly, Harbour North is a popular place to go to for fur babies on Hong Kong Island. LITM is a brand new western restaurant that opened in the mall recently. It has a separate dining area for dogs, so that dog parents can enjoy the meals with their dogs without the fear of the strange stares of other customers. Thankfully, the restaurant welcomes both large and small dogs, with big dogs like Bernese Mountain are allowed to accompany you. For the new opening, the restaurant has prepared home-made, natural, air-dried snacks for the doggies, there are even filtered water and nappies for the dogs. What’s more, the restaurant has a quiet and elegant feel, with a large floor-to-ceiling glass view of the pier and the sea. And the food is mid-to-high-priced western style, with a wide selection of All Day Breakfast, spaghetti, risotto and cheesecake. One exciting new is that the staff said that a pet menu will be added later in December, so your lovely dogs can enjoy the meal with you together !!
